The American Journal of Physiology – Renal Physiology (AJP-Renal) publishes original manuscripts on a broad range of subjects relating to the kidney, urinary tract, and their respective cells and vasculature, as well as to the control of body fluid volume and composition. Studies may involve human or animal models, individual cell types, and isolated membrane systems. Authors are encouraged to submit reports on research using a wide range of approaches to the study of function in these systems, such as biochemistry, immunology, genetics, mathematical modeling, molecular biology, and physiological methodologies. Papers on the pathophysiological basis of disease processes of the kidney, urinary tract, and regulation of body fluids are also encouraged.

Recruitment Advertising
The APS print publications accept recruitment advertising. Banner Ads
Our banner ads have doubled in size! Your 468 x 60 pixel .gif with link to your website will rotate throughout the journal site including homepage, search pages, and articles pages.
Inline/Premium Ads
This option includes the banner PLUS hyperlinks at references to your company name in the text of the articles. This option allows you to be literally at the readers’ fingertips when and where your products are specified.
eTOC Ads
Electronic tables of contents (eTOC) of each issue are emailed to registered users. There are two advertising options (top and bottom placements) on the eTOC alerts. Choose from the two following options. TOP BANNER: Place a banner ad (468 x 60 pixels) at the top of the eTOC alerts that includes a link to your website. BOTTOM TEXT: Place up to 4 lines of text (62 characters per line) and a link to your website at the bottom of the eTOC alerts. Add a logo to your bottom text ad for extra impact!
TOC Package
Tables of contents (TOC) of each issue are emailed to registered individuals. Sponsor one of these alerts and the corresponding TOC page on the journal site. Your banner ad (468 x 60) will appear on the eTOC email and your online display ad (195 x 195) will appear on the TOC page for the chosen issue. Add a full-page, 4-color, opposite TOC ad in the print edition for full TOC coverage!
NEW! Additional Advertising Opportunities with the American Physiological Society (APS)
The Executive Director of APS started a monthly, electronic newsletter in October 2007 that is emailed to approximately 10,000 registered email users worldwide. Your ad will be visible on the left constant bar and linked to your URL. Each ad space measures 190 x 190 pixels and costs $625. Space is limited. The eNews Update is sent out twice per month and your ad appears on both alerts. Ads are due by the 20th of the month prior to the issue month. Banner Specifications:
- Submit your ad as a .gif file to adnet{at}faseb.org. Provide the URL to which it should be linked.
- Screen size: 468 pixels wide x 60 pixels high no larger than 25K.
- Provide ALT Text (5 words max) for those who have image loading turned off. Please note that only the first or last frame of banner ads might display for browsers that do not support animated .gifs.

Print Advertising Deadlines:
The American Journal of Physiology – Renal Physiology is published monthly and mailed in polybags. Issues close 35 working days preceding the first day of the issue month.
Material Requirements:
Negatives: Right reading emulsion side down.
Screen: 150 line.
Black & White: Screen film negatives to size. Camera-ready material accepted. Provide photocopy of ad with insertion order. Separate sets of materials are required for ads scheduled to run in multiple publications.
Color: Color proofs are required for color ads. Film separations require color key, chromalin or matched print. Any color ads scheduled to appear simultaneously in two (2) or more publications require a set of film separations for each publication.
Digital Files: Digital files are accepted. Hard copy proofs are required for all digital ads. A high resolution pdf file with all fonts embedded is acceptable. Color proofs are required for color ads submitted digitally. Please email adnet@faseb.org for file specifications.
